We understand that when a loved one has died it’s a very difficult time. There are all the emotions surrounding grief and loss, but there are also lots of practical things that have to be sorted out. We would like to help you if you can. Your first port of call should be a Funeral Director, who will be able to help and guide you through the process. If you would like to hold your service in the church or would like one of our ministers to take the service at the crematorium or cemetery, let the Funeral Director know that and we will contact them. A date for the funeral will be arranged which suits you, and them, and us. The minister who will take the service will then get in touch with you to arrange a date to visit you to plan the service.
If you would like to inter the ashes of your loved one into an existing grave in our cemetery, or in our garden of remembrance, then please come along to our Office Hour which happens in church almost every Thursday evening from 7-8pm. (If you’re unable to make it, contact us via phone or email to arrange something else). You can also Click Here to find more help with planning a funeral.
If you’ve just had a baby and are thinking of a baptism – congratulations! We would love to talk with you about arranging your baptism here. If possible, come along to our Office Hour which happens in church almost every Thursday evening from 7-8pm. (If you’re unable to make it, contact us via phone or email to arrange something else). You can also Click Here to find out more information about baptisms. By the way, you might be thinking of a christening – don’t worry, that’s exactly the same thing as a baptism! If you’re not sure about whether you want a baptism, and would rather have a Thanksgiving or dedication service for your baby, we can do that too.
We ask you to attend preparation classes prior to the baptism – we’ll let you know the dates when you book the baptism. There is no charge for a baptism service.
If you are an adult who is interested in baptism, we would love to chat with you. Come along to one of our Sunday services and we’ll take it from there.
We also have occasional confirmation services – if you have been baptised, but have never been confirmed, and would like to be, come along to one of our Sunday services and speak to one of the ministry team.
